These mattresses are handcrafted by Joe with the best materials from the United States. The pocket coils are taken apart to create the size needed, if custom size, then the padding is added to create the feel requested by you, such as FIRM BUT NOT HARD. We then sew the cover using a high quality bamboo fabric from Lava Textiles, and a suede like border. Some mattresses are made without using the suede and then we wrap the sides of the mattress in the bamboo ticking. We use the individually wrapped pocket coils (approximately 600 coils in 3/4 mattress) from Texas Pocket Springs. These coils are very similar to the Simmons Beautyrest coils.

All foundations are handmade by Joe Alesi using a good quality white wood, with cross beams and solid side support to ensure the standard we expect in a foundation for ourselves. The foundation is then secured with a heavy nylon strapping before the fire-resistant fiber is added and covered with matching material. We do NOT use cardboard in our foundations.
